You can use Microsoft Office 360 to operate your email account form BT Business using iPad or iPhone.
To set up a new account on the device without making any changes to your previous account, which is the recommended route to take as making changes to the existing account can cause loss of data. The route we are recommending is correct but may differ in terminology, depending on your device and software. The text may be slightly altered or the buttons ay look a little different and so on.
To set up the email account, go to the settings of your iPhone or iPad and go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Here, select Add Account. And tap on Other. Click on Add Mail Account and put down the name that you want people to see when you send them an email from you. For the Address, type in the BT Business username you use and type in your password in the field asking for you password. Enter the name with which you want to associate your account in the Description field and click on Next.
Click on OK if you get an error message. At the very top of your screen, check if you have selected POP. The incoming mail server should have outlook.office365.com as its host name and the server port should be 995 with SSL enabled. The outgoing mail server should have smtp.office365.com as its host name with server port 587 and SSL enabled. The outgoing mail authentication should be set to password and then put in your password and email. Clicking on Save will verify your settings and show you your Account scree.
In case you do not have the updated version of iOS, use the same settings with the following server settings;
- Incoming Mail Server: outlook.office365.com
